TREES FOREVER PLANTING

SACG obtained a “Branching Out” grant from Trees Forever in 2012 and on October 20th approximately 45 community volunteers gathered together to plant, mulch and stake 26 trees in the new Memorial Park. This was another project completed in cooperation with the city of Shellsburg as well as volunteers from the local fire department. This was a very successful community project involving youth groups and considerable donations of time and equipment to “match” the $2,515 grant from Trees Forever.
