MEMORIAL PARK CARVING
July 15 and 16, 2015
SACG was awarded a Keep Iowa Beautiful grant to help with improvements in the Shellsburg Memorial Park. Grant money was used to have a dying tree topped to a height of 11 feet. Brian Parr of Vinton carved a bear and cubs in the tree, welcoming all to Bear Creek. Bear Creek flows through the Shellsburg Memorial Park and City Park. We hope our residents and visitors will enjoy this park addition for many years to come.
