MEMORIAL PARK TRAIL

Community volunteers gathered to create a walking trail through Shellsburg Memorial Park, a project organized by the Park Redevelopment Visioning Committee. Funding for the project came from a Keep Iowa Beautiful grant, submitted by SACG (plans call for a complete loop around the park, but we are still waiting for permission from the railroad to complete the remaining portion.) Special thanks go to Michael Glynn for chairing this committee, Greg Peacock for his time and equipment and the 15 community volunteers who helped with the project!
