PRAIRIE FOREST TRAIL GRAND OPENING

After many months of work on this project, SACG members hosted a Grand Opening for the Shellsburg Prairie Forest Trail entrance. This project evolved out of the community’s participation in Community Visioning during 2013. We were happy to have over 70 folks stop by to learn about the prairie and the trail project. Naturalists from Benton County Conservation and Trees Forever were present to talk with folks about the native prairie plants.
