CITY FLOWERS MAINTENANCE
On Going
SACG’s horticulture committee actively maintains four downtown flower pots - the two cement flower pots on the Canton Street bridge, the Memorial Park flower bed, the planters in city park, the native plants on the park stream bank and the display beds at the entrance to the Prairie Forest Trail. After spring planting, committee members meet twice a month to weed and tidy up the flowers. Members also take turns watering the planters and weed around trees and mulch as necessary. A special thank you to Tricia and Jon Sheldon for mulching around the bench at the trail entrance and to Jay Herman who keeps the trail entrance mowed.
