PARK ENHANCEMENTS

SACG was successful in obtaining a grant from the Benton County Community Foundation for enhancements to the city park. A “funnel ball” game was installed behind the gazebo and a smaller version of a basket game was placed in the mulched playground area. And since the park lost so much shade during the 2020 derecho, two covered benches were installed near the playground. The grant money was supplemented with SACG funds to pay for the games, benches, excavation, mulch and cement. SACG volunteers worked with city officials and staff to plan these additions.
