GOLD MEDAL FLOUR MURAL RESTORATION

For many years SACG had heard from residents that they would like the Gold Medal Flour mural on the side of Pearl Street Social Club to be restored. In 2023, SACG undertook a fundraising effort to raise the money needed for a restoration. Details of the fundraising are here.
With the fundraising goal achieved, the actual restoration began in late May, 2024. Janice Crowley, owner of Pearl Street Social club, hired Tom Digman Masonry of Shellsburg to do tuckpoint repair on the wall, a required first step. With that complete, Ed Callan, of Ed Callan Signs, also of Shellsburg, began the restoration process. It took Ed and his associate about a week to complete the project.
