Shellsburg Area Community Group (SACG) was organized in 2011 as a group of caring citizens with a desire to promote a positive image of the town of Shellsburg and the surrounding community, and to create an exciting place to live, shop and invest. Since 2011, SACG has contributed over $225,000 and countless volunteer hours toward community improvement projects. SACG is not affiliated with the city of Shellsburg except in our desire to affect improvement where possible.
Support from community members and other stakeholders enables SACG to continue delivering meaningful community improvements and hosting family-friendly events. Please consider helping us continue our volunteer efforts in our community. There are several ways to contribute: 1. Become a SACG member and volunteer by joining a committee. 2. Contribute to the Shellsburg Area Community Endowment Fund to support long term community enhancements. 3. Contribute at any SACG-sponsored event. As a 501(c) nonprofit organization, your contribution may be tax deductible. We will send you a receipt for your tax records.
SACG also qualifies for many employer-sponsored matching gift programs, which can significantly increase the impact of your contribution. We encourage you to check with your employer to determine whether a matching gift program is available. If so, please consider submitting your donation through your company’s program to maximize your support. If your employer does not offer a formal matching program, you may still wish to inquire whether they would consider making a charitable contribution.
