SACG Creates Video of Historic Bridge At the request of the mayor, SACG created a video to celebrate the historic spandrel bridge. Most of the effort was through SACG volunteers and a few friends from the outside. Click on the screen at right and immediately hit the "full screen" icon.  SACG volunteers plant trees at the elementary school
The Shellsburg Area Community Group (SACG) was organized in 2011 as a group of caring citizens with a desire to promote a positive image of the town of Shellsburg and the surrounding community, and to create an exciting place to live, shop and invest. Since 2011, SACG has contributed over $180,000 and countless volunteer hours toward community improvement projects. SACG is not affiliated with the city of Shellsburg except in our desire to affect improvement where possible.
NOTE: 4/10/25 We've learned there are efforts being initiated to create another non-profit group in Shellsburg that would be called Shellsburg Area Parks & Events. Even though the name is similar, it is not associated with SACG in any way. New members are always welcome, in fact our success depends on it! Please consider joining and getting involved in a project that interests you. Online form is here. Meetings are held at 6:00 PM the third Monday of each month at the City Library, lower level, accessible using the back door. |
